I am researching my family tree and am eager to find more information about him. I am struggling to get information about my family tree members as there are many broken lines/orphans, and Nfld records are few and far between, but he is one person where documents may be found. I am blown away at being pointed toward your blog post on him and am so elated to read such a detailed story about him. If you could point me in the direction of any other information I would be eternally grateful.

Kind regards,

Anastasia HallStacyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07803443831592170281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3920032060309265767.post-65228253342005060212020-01-22T07:20:35.691-08:002020-01-22T07:20:35.691-08:00I'M NOW FULFILL FINANCIALLY BECAUSE OF THE LOA...I'M NOW FULFILL FINANCIALLY BECAUSE OF THE LOAN I GOT FROM LFDS .I would like to bring this to the notice of the public about how i came in contact with LFDS after i lost my job and being denied loan by my bank and other financial institution due to my credit score. I could not pay my children's fees. I was behind on bills, about to be thrown out of the house due to my inability to pay my rent, It was during this period my kids were taken from me by foster care. Then i set out to seek for funds online where i lost $3,670 that i borrowed from friends which i was rip off by two online loan companies. Until i read about:Le_Meridian Funding Service (lfdsloans@outlook.com / lfdsloans@lemeridianfds.com) somewhere on the internet, Still wasn't convince because of what i have been through until a relative of mine who is a clergy also told me about the ongoing loan scheme of LFDS at a very low interest rate of 1.9%% and lovely repayment terms without penalty for default of payment. I have no choice than to also contact them which i did through text +1-989-394-3740 and Mr Benjamin responded back to me That day was the I'M best and greatest day of my life which can never be forgotten when i receive a credit alert of $400,000.00 Usd loan amount i applied for. I utilized the loan effectively to pay up my debts and to start up a business and today i and my kids are so happy and fulfill. You can as well contact them through email: (lfdsloans@outlook.com / lfdsloans@lemeridianfds.com) WhatsApptext helpline: +1-989-394-3740 Why am i doing this? I am doing this to save as many that are in need of a loan not to be victim of scams on the internet. Thanks and God bless you all, I'm Oleksander Artem from Horizon Park BC , Ukrain. I say this because History records what we've done, not what we should do, and provides accounts of an emboldened past. Like writing poetry, historical writers are always subjective and have, at least since Aristotle, used their craft to inspire and ennoble their audiences; albeit citizens, nations or civilizations. For the past two thousand years—as the countless books on your shelves will testify—historians have taught people by way of good and proper (moral) examples. My own favourite is Luís de Camões whose epic history, Os Lusíadas, c.1572, helped inspire a small nation to perform great deeds. His masterpiece of allegory welds fact and fiction, ideas and ideals. While this may be a work of literature, not history, it is still one of great historical value.

Now, back to your text. Any historian who expresses a view that flies in the face of popular perception will thus, understandably, fall out of favour. And regretably so. For me—as a historical researcher—the challenge lies not in having my views accepted by mainstream historians but, rather, having them accept the limits of the historical record. By this I mean to say that historical sources should include poetry, dreams, prophecies and, too, the voices of our Ancestors.

If you wish to read more, please see www.knotofstone.com/reviewsNicolaas Vergunsthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09511478049081749362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3920032060309265767.post-48234507801873661602012-02-09T07:17:57.991-08:002012-02-09T07:17:57.991-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Nicolaas Vergunsthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09511478049081749362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3920032060309265767.post-24146330233611151112011-11-10T05:45:06.487-08:002011-11-10T05:45:06.487-08:00thanks for sharing this, fascinating <3thanks for sharing this, fascinating <3Pathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08945882419575786659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3920032060309265767.post-29688234425609205372011-11-07T02:13:48.687-08:002011-11-07T02:13:48.687-08:00I think many of us who had great grandfathers who ...I think many of us who had great grandfathers who were served in WW1 sit in a similar situation, they never told us their story, or if they did we never noticed it because we were too young. Now when we need to tell that story to future generations all we really have are pieces of a puzzle. My grandfather was a Delville Wood survivor, I have only just got my hands on his attestation papers, but they still say so very little.
